Bamboo Puttu Maker can keep above the boiler (steamer, pressure cooker) so that the food is positioned above and not in water. Food will cook with a moist hot steam.
Steaming enables foods to keep their natural flavor, color, shape, and nutritious value better than when boiled or simmered in water.
You can place this Bamboo Biryani Maker on the nozzle of a Pressure Cooker with enough water. Use the bamboo stick to push the cooked biryani from the steamer.
You can perfectly cook your layered dum biriyani in this, which is called mula dum biriyani and the mula(bamboo) will enhance the taste of the biriyani.

Bamboo Biryani Recipe
Chicken Dum Biryani in Bamboo:
Ingredients for Masala:
Chicken 200 gms - boneless small stripes
Onion - 2 big, thinly sliced
Tomato - 1 big, chopped
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala powder - ¾ tsp
Coriander leaves - ¼ cup finely chopped
Curry leaves - 8-10 leaves
Heat the pan and add 2 Tbsp Oil and add onion fry it till translucent.
Now add ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell goes.
Then add the chopped tomatoes and fry it until mushy.
Now add all the masala powders and saute until oil comes out.
Add the chicken pieces and add a little water and cover and cook the chicken with the masala until the gravy thickens and no water in gravy.
Now switch off the flame and add coriander leaves.
Ingredients for Puttu:
Puttu rice flour - 2 cup
Grated coconut - as required
Salt - as needed
Water - as needed.
Mix flour and salt together.
Now add a little water at a time and make the flour in a crumbled form until it is wet and able to hold the flour as a ball.
Add some coconut into the flour and mix well.
Now take a pressure cooker and heat it with required water.
Take the bamboo puttu maker (should soak in water for at least 2 hours before use) and keep the inside lid.
Add some grated coconut as a first layer.
Now add the puttu flour on top of that.
Then add some masala above that.
Repeat this process until the puttu maker s full and close the lid.
Don't fill too much by pressing too hard.
